The rogue is exactly what it says one the tin; sneaky, crafty and almost always a cad, albeit a charming one. They are experts in subterfuege with a talent in breaking and entering, dealing huge damage in the form of large combos, backstabs and generally working in the shadows. Their magical prowess comes in the form of slowly becoming more and more competant in turning invisible and increasing the damage they do with each strike. Their defences however, are limited to dodging. Only mages can take less hits than the rogue.
Theif is the next level for advanced rogues. They are rogues that are high above the average level of a rogue and are superior to them in every aspect, especially in the aspect of stealth. Theives can stand up to more in close combat than rogues but still fall short in tank terms. Their ability to dodge and parry however, means that they can at least hold their own for a short while before they are simply overwhelmed.
The "master" level of the rogue class is assassin and ninja. Assassins are unparralleled in stealth and their aibility to inflict damage in a short space of time is rivaled by an exceptional few. They are capable warriors who will often kill an enemy before they can react or even draw their weapon back to take a swipe. Assassins skill in close combat is matched only by warriors and samurai but even they are incapable of matching them in the ability to do the same level of damage to their foes. Assassins are capable of utilising up to the fourth level of magic in any element but can only learn five spells.
Ninjas are similar to assassins but utilise different skills. They use magic in a far more exotic manner than assassins, often utilising the magical skills of a mage or wizard level spellcaster to confuse their opponents. However, they can only learn ten spells overall from the sixth level of magic. Their abilities aren't even nearly close to the same variety of normal spellcasters but they are superior to the assassins and advanced spells can be learnt.
